Attempted Bloggery: Lucia Davidova's Copy of George Gershwin's Song-Book
I lived in an apartment in Davidova's townhouse at 11 E 77 Street in Manhattan. Her telephone for many years was BUtterfield 8-1177. Her gowns and her fragrance were all Givenchy
A fascinating individual to say the least. She was an aviatrix during WW II, frequented El Morocco, XXI, Colony, and the Stork Club. Her husband Capa Davidoff married Tamara Giva (child bride of Geo. Balanchine) and much was made of Lucia and Tamara attending the third wedding of their husband.
